Archery Places Fourth in USA Archery Indoor National Championship

 Lindsey Wilson archery finished fourth at the USA Archery Indoor National Championship, USA Archery officials announced Thursday.

The Blue Raiders competed at Indoor Nationals Feb. 15-16 in Madisonville, Ky. Scores from indoor national competitions all across the country were compiled for the final results.

This is the first year USA Archery has introduced Collegiate Team Awards to Indoor Nationals. Individual results from all Indoor Nationals locations were used to determine Collegiate Team results.

The top two scores in each Division from each school were used for Team results (two-person teams). The top male and female scores from each school in each Division were used to determine Mixed Team results.

Lindsey Wilson finished with 61 points to finish fourth. Cumberlands (Ky.) captured the team title with 168 points, Texas A&M finished second with 167.5 points and Pikeville (Ky.) was third with 91 points.

The Blue Raiders posted five podium finishes and an additional four top-five finishes. Individually, Austin Taylor posted the best Lindsey Wilson finish. Taylor finished runner-up in men's compound with a score of 1,191. T Sanchez finished eighth in men's recurve, Jacob Cook was seventh and Nathaniel Bush finished seventh and eighth in men's barebow. In women's fixed pins three Blue Raiders finished in the top 10. Anna Krampe finished eighth, Sophia Hunziger was ninth and Madeline McGuire was 10th.

In the team rounds, Lindsey Wilson posted four top-three finishes and four fifth-place finishes. Sanchez and Christian Blair teamed up in men's recurve and totaled a score of 2,228 to finish third. Cook and Bush finished third in men's barebow team with a score of 1.815.

Lyle Uhrich and Thomas Ramsey finished third in men's fixed pins team with a score of 2,338. Krampe and Hunziger teamed up in women's fixed pins and tallied a score of 2,302 to finish in third.
