Dustin Jones hired as new head coach of Kayak Bass Fishing

Dustin Jones, alumnus of Campbellsville University and former student-angler, has been hired as the Head Coach of Kayak Bass Fishing, Athletic Director Jim Hardy and Director of Fishing Pete Hedgepath announce.

"Being offered this position means so much to me," Jones shared. "When my time as a student angler at Campbellsville came to an end, it felt as if my story here was not done. I have a personal testimony to how this program can help young people in all aspects of their life, including in their athletic and academic success. I'm eager to begin building a strong team and spreading that testimony to young anglers across the country. A special thank you to Jim Hardy and Pete Hedgepath for this opportunity. I'm looking forward to working on building a championship team and champions of character here."

Jones, a native of Stanford, Kentucky, was a Tiger angler from 2017 through 2022. "I feel Dustin has a lot to bring to the Kayak program," Hedgepath said. "After his years of competing as a collegiate-level angler, his insight and experience, along with his commitment to CU fishing and tournament challenges, makes me excited to see what he brings to this team as head coach."

"We are excited to announce the hiring of Dustin Jones as our next Kayak Bass Fishing Coach," Hardy imparted. "It is great to have an alumnus of our bass fishing program ready to give back and develop student-athletes."
