Campbellsville wraps up final meet at Lindsey Wilson before MSC Championships
Campbellsville wrapped up its final meet before the Mid-South Conference Championships at Lindsey Wilson on Saturday.
Charlotte Stull earned the first victory of the meet for Campbellsville in the 50-yard freestyle. Stull won in a time of 26.67.
Lucy Ballard was the next athlete to earn critical points for Campbellsville in the 200-yard breaststroke. She touched the wall in 3:11.11.
In the 500-yard freestyle, Taryn Harper and Chloe Little finished 2-3 in the event. Harper led the way in 2nd at 5:50.82, and Little finished 3rd overall in 6:00.73. Hannah Rhodenbaugh narrowly missed a top-three finish in the event in 4th place with a time of 6:07.17.
Stull brought in her next points in the 100-yard backstroke. She was 1.80 seconds behind a runner-up finish in the event with her time of 1:08.02, while second was 1:06.22. Maggie Gibson missed a top-three finish in the 200-yard freestyle but was able to enter a key time for conference in 2:18.11.
Rhodenbaugh, Little, Gibson, and Sarah Wortham finished 3rd in the 400-yard medley in 4:32.90.
Rhodenbaugh found her first individual points of the meet in the 200-yard backstroke. She placed 3rd in the event with a time of 2:24.58.
Stull and Gibson came in 4th place finishes near the ladder half of the meet.
Stull finished the 100-yard freestyle in 58.54, while Gibson was 2:35.65 in the 200-yard butterfly.
Stull earned herself a time for the upcoming conference championships in the 100-yard breaststroke in a 1:16.80 effort.
Campbellsville will have the weekend off before heading to the Mid-South Conference Championships in Kingsport, TN, February 1-4.
