Pioneers Outlast #6 Welch College
Campbellsville University Harrodsburg outlasted the sixth ranked Welch College Flames on Saturday, 70-66.
Kendall Jones scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds in his debut for the Pioneers, Chris Rawlins added 14 points.
The Pioneers found their offense early, starting the game with a 10-0 lead.
The Flames would battle back to take the lead late in the first half before Rawlins and Jones tied things up.
In the second half, Warner Bryan would start the charge with one of his season high nine blocks, CUH would have 11 blocks in the game.
Kereion Douglas would knock down an early three point field goal to begin building a second half lead.
The Flames would continue to push however, leading to an exciting back and forth offensive exchange.
The Pioneers would pull away to earn a 70-66 victory.
