Campbellsville sweeps Lindsey Wilson for the third time this season to advance to MSC Championship

Campbellsville makes a statement in the conference semifinal match against Lindsey Wilson with their third sweep of the season against the Blue Raiders.
 
Tigers didn't mince words the first set coming out hot with a 25-15 win. The next two sets provided a lot more of a challenge for Campbellsville.
 
In the second set, Lindsey Wilson fought back and had an early lead in the set. Tigers were able to pull away late in the set and being able to win 25-21.
 
The third set was the icing on the cake for Campbellsville. A back and forth early set was close until in the ladder half of the set. The Tigers pushed away late in the set to pull away with a 25-20 win. 
 
Paige Merrick had a busy day on the offensive side of the ball, having 39 assists on the night. Merrick had three key targets on the night. Mid-South Conference Player of the Year Molly Shannon had 15 kills, First Team All-Conference member and sister Cierra Merrick had 14 kills, and Second Team All-Conference member Mariane Cassiano had 11 kills. 
 
McKenna Barfield led things at the net with two solo blocks and three block assists on the night. Cassiano and Andrea Laboy was able to turn defense into offense. Cassiano had 20 digs while Laboy had 16.
 
Campbellsville will await the winner of Cumberland University and Bethel University in the Championship tomorrow night. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET.
