Monticello Middle School issued the following announcement.
The Wayne County Schools Gifted and Talented Travel Program is announcing two different
educational trips beginning to be planned to Los Angeles and the Grand Canyon, as well as
Japan.
An informational meeting about the two new travel study options will be held at Turner
Cafeteria on Thursday, December 12 at 6:00 p.m. Students, recent graduates and Wayne
County School faculty and staff are invited to attend the preliminary meeting with GT
Coordinator Jennifer Chaplin. The Los Angeles and Grand Canyon trip will occur during spring
break 2021, followed by the Japan trip in the summer during June 2021.
Students (and their immediate family members) who will be in grades 6-12 next school year
with good attendance, good grades, and good behavior are being recruited. The Wayne County
School District policy,; EF Tours policy both require background checks on adult travelers.
